In the middle of the rant, he said "You're a good guy, and all, but..." and then went back to attacking the lighting guy's performance. I respect him all that much more for that. At no point did he attack the lighting guy--all he did was attack his performance.

There is no reason to lose any respect for Christian Bale over this. He was being intensely professional about his work.

Someone who cares that much about his work? I can get behind him.
