Here's the text of a letter I sent to James Kochalka, award winning cartoonist and the creator of the lovely online comic strip American Elf: The Sketchbook Diaries of James Kochalka.
Hi.
I just found your strip and, after seeing the samples, subscribed.
I then went through and read them all.
And now I'm going to go to my comic store and buy your book.
You're great. Deeply, seriously great.
If I have any complaints, it's that the subscription model means I can't share the strips I think my friends will love with them and seduce them into reading too.
If you have any complaints, it's that I've made every sentence in this letter its own paragraph, which makes me appear either subliterate or nine years old.
Thank you for existing.
