Meme alert! Harukami interviews me, and I interview YOU!

harukami posted an interview that another person did with her. The rules of the interview are simple. That other user writes a series of questions in her Livejournal. Harukami then answered the questions in her own Livejournal, and posted a comment in the original interview's Livejournal saying she was done. And then she offered to interview anyone who wanted, and I raised my hand.

So, a nice, cheerful interview married to a neat Meme. And, to complete the circle, anyone who wants me to pose interview questions for their own Livejournal, please ask in the comments. (If you want to comment on the interview, feel free to do that too. :grin:)

A friend of mine just looked at my Sarah based Livejournal picture (appearing on this post or here if you prefer) and said "huh. So, you have a Vorlon cat, huh?"

That explains so much.

Two questions for my father, answered.

If you're ever curious what writers do when their research fails them, the answer is simple. They ask their parents.

Today, in plugging in some research on Cat (can you tell the students have left the school), I had to ask two questions, in two different phone calls:

1. What uses can aspen and poplar wood be put to? (His answer -- aspen, particularly quaking aspen, is used for things like crates and the like, and sometimes trim. It's also used and very good for wood pulp and other such industrial uses. And, he noted, it burns extremely hot, so it's really good for when you need a fast, hot fire -- for example, when making biscuits. So, it's called 'biscuitwood' by some.)

2. What was the campsite on Mount Katahdin we stayed at the time we backpacked up Katahdin? (Chimney Lake.)

Neither time did I explain why I was asking. Neither time did Dad ask. Though he checked with Mom on the second.

I have unbelievably cool parents.
