Hi all!

I know, I haven't done an update or even very many comments in half of forever. And worse, I left on a cliffhanger -- would the insurance company cave so I can get the crucial surgery and then begin getting on with my life, or would I have to fight and claw and scream and make angry sounds at these people and in the meantime walk slowly on the ice.

Well, sadly, it's option B. They're buttheads. So, no surgery on New Year's Eve. Instead, I had a lovely Christmas with the family, and got lots of cooking equipment.

I mean, lots.

I mean, knives. Forged ones. And a cleaver.

And a box grater.

And a George Foreman Rotisserie. So I can cook Slabs of Meatâ„¢ and entertain the cat while I do it.

On the whole, I'm doing okay while we argue with insurance people. And, in perhaps a futile endeavor, I've started my full Online Journal again, going hand in hand with my revised website that you can all look at.

Because I know the way is going, I've made the new journal available for RSS syndication here, if you have an RSS reader, or you can just get notices for it here on Livejournal at [livejournal.com profile] annotations (which you can add to your Friends list for easy access).

Does that mean I'll stop using the Livejournal? No. This is my "here's something fast" or "here's something cool" or "here's another of those trendy memes you all hate" place, where I'll dump a few lines on what's going on with my life. But I don't like Livejournal for essays -- I think full online journals are better for those. So, I'll do them there.

The first post on the new volume of Annotations: Some Days in the Life is Hello My Friend, Won't You Tell Me Your Name? I hope you read it, enjoy it, and comment on it. I'm a lonely lonely person, and my cat doesn't give constructive criticism.

Otherwise, we endure. Also... when the Hell did I start liking Bon Jovi. Now [livejournal.com profile] mrbankies will stop talking to me.

Peace, all.
