Another poem
Mar. 24th, 2004 09:10 pmAnother poem written today, posted to the writing page. Does anyone actually read the writing page? I dunno. But it's nice to look at the page and say "cool. I wrote."
Today was very varied -- I'm having a hard time acclimating to Stage III diet -- pureed foods. I had some salmon -- maybe a quarter of a cup -- but I had it too fast and maybe didn't chew enough....
Excruciating pain and vomiting. Just like I was warned would happen if I done gone too far. Breakfast was okay (oatmeal isn't *that* much different than Cream of Wheat, except that I like it so much more). Dinner I took a very very long time to have overly pureed (almost soupy) chicken breast and cottage cheese. No problems, but I still feel bloated three hours later.
This, by the way? Means it's working. But the acclimation's pretty unpleasant. I'll still take it, though. Oh yes. I'll take it. But I need to choke some water down to get up to quota. We'll see.
I'm liking this. It's working. Really working. It's a learning curve, without a doubt, but that's a good thing. More to the point, it's not going to wear off. It's not...
It's not what I've done before. It's what I need to do.
Rock on.
