"Day" one: 2,272 (1,666) words

I started at midnight. I had laundry going anyway, and the time change had me screwed up anyway. According to theory, I need to do 1,666 words a day, average, to get to 50,000 by the 30th. As of right now, I'm at 2,272 words on Trigger Man, which I consider a solid opening. I'll do more today, and start building up the necessary buffer for those days when nothing at all happens.

It's nice to already have a good solid start on my Nanowrimo profile's progress bar, I have to admit.

I'll do an excerpt on Websnark later, so folks can see there's actual words being writ in this.

Well, crap

Does anyone have an IP-number version link for Wikipedia? For whatever reason, DNS is refusing to acknowledge Wikipedia's existence, but when I ssh to an outside server and Lynx in, it resolves. (I tried Dig on that server, but all it ended up giving me was a series of IP numbers that inform me there is no Wiki on those servers, and links I can't seem to get to).
