Okay, feeling better today

I'm feeling generally better today. Thanks to the folks who talked me in off the ledge. Thanks also to those who reminded me that if you're going to go, it's better to get offed by police snipers after the body count has racked up to double digits.

I'm more than a little curious how much hate mail Chris Bishop got yesterday, but then he was probably expecting it.

In any case, I'm getting a ton of work done because I have an overnight in Boston tonight. I'll have net access so I'll be around, but I won't be at my desk at all tomorrow so I need to make sure I get things wrapped up.

And now... Waltham

I'm in Waltham, Massachusetts. Sitting in a hotel, for a conference my boss and I have tomorrow at an ugly hour.

It's a nice hotel. It's a cold city. It's... pretty much entirely away from everything I know from Boston. So either I'd have to go driving to sections of Boston I used to walk through (without the people I would see there), or I'd have to bug people who don't live in Waltham or Boston right now to come hang out.

Or, I can write. Or something.

Waltham doesn't look like the most exciting place in the world, for the record.
