That kind of night.
Dec. 20th, 2005 09:42 pmIt was about nine thirty last night that Customs let Weds through. We then went to dinner with some of her friends (who are very cool people in their own right.)
At 4:55 today, I watched Weds go into security, to fly away for the holiday. She'll be back in early January.
I walked back to the food court, which was on the other side of a glass wall from gate 9, where she was flying out of. After a few minutes, she saw me and came over. We fingerspelled through the glass.
At 5:32, she had to go. I watched her go down the tunnel.
For twenty hours, all was right. All was good. My world was complete.
Now, I feel kind of hollow. There's over two hundred websnark e-mails I haven't looked at today, plus other stuff.
They can wait. When I smell my collar, I can still smell her perfume.

It’s quarter to three,
There’s no one in the place
’cept you and me
So set ’em’ up joe
I got a little story I think you oughtta know
We’re drinking my friend
To the end
of a brief episode
So make it one for my baby
And one more for the road
