Got little done yesterday, but made up for it today.
Really, the best case scenario for this mutation of Nano is twofold: getting to the end of the story, regardless of count, and reestablishing a daily writing pace. James Grant is right, in the end -- it's not about making it to the artificial goal. It's about two things: writing, and finishing.
The goal, both in the 45 day term and in the daily term, is akin to building up reps on a Nautilus machine. I got away from the daily exercises for a while, and when I needed to run through two or three thousand words I could, but I got winded. I was flabby and out of shape. Fat Apollo for the first couple of episodes of this season on BSG flabby. Only in a writing sense.
So. We grab a trainer. We focus on training and goals. We get back lean and trim. We hit the jumprope and the track. And at the end of the day, we go farther than we went last year, or the year before that.
I can cope with that.
