I take certain medicines at breakfast and at dinner. Or sometimes when I get up and when I go to bed. That kind of thing. And they have different side effects on me on different days.

Today, I had my coreg and lisinopril at dinner. And they've had a side effect. (Not surprising -- I've been quite to very ill all week.) The side effect is likely related to low blood pressure, but the practical effect is... hm. Hard to explain.

In effect, it takes a lot more energy than normal to breathe.

It's not a shortness of breath. I can breathe very deeply. But if I don't pay attention, or if I lie back, so the weight of my abdomen is pressing... I'll find myself just not breathing for like ten seconds at a go.

It's very disconcerting. It's like I don't deserve breath, you know? Like I'm cheating.
