Nowhere in the Catechism that I am aware of does it declare that one must agree completely with everything that the Pope says. Now, action? Action is another matter. If you're a Catholic engaging in extra-marital sex or using birth control, you've got a contradiction to resolve.
But disagreeing with the Pope? Not forbidden.
I mean, the Pope is given a wide authority on theological matters. He gets taken very seriously. And there are official teachings of the Church, and they matter. But outside of papal infallability, disagreement with the Pope is allowed.
