I am inevitably reminded of the various outtakes of Casey Kasem recording the commentary and the station ID blurbs for American Top 40 Countdown that made the rounds lo these many years ago. "We come in out of an upbeat song and then I gotta do a piece about somebody's goddamn dog dying! Jesus Christ!"
