I was mistaken when I thought he was a Production guy instead of -- well, effectively the Cinematographer. And an award-winning one at that, from what I've seen.
I stand by what I wrote -- this is such total non-news -- but the guy isn't some guy off the street by any stretch.
(Though it reinforces to me that he should know way better than to walk onto the set during a live take. If he wants to run rehearsals so he can adjust the lighting during the live scene, he should do just that.)
