Well, I always carry my PDA in my shirt pocket (in fact, I no longer buy shirts without pockets, mostly because of this). I don't always carry my EEE around with me. I actually could sort of access LJ via my PDA at one point, but I couldn't log in because the built-in browser couldn't handle the authentication code.
So, once I finally replace my Tungsten (probably with some variety of iPod Touch), I'd certainly be in positions where such an app would be useful. :)
