It's spring, in all its glory. The trees are beginning to burst into leaves. Even yesterday, a rainy day, was beautiful and perfect in its own way.

I wish I could shake the tiredness and the illness, so I could bite deep of springtime and not let go, but that seems a bit too much to hope for. At the same time, I am liking this spring a lot, and my spirits were very high last evening as I drove a bit after work.

We're looking at some products by Bradford Software. If we get and implement them, our control over our logical network -- and ability to trace troublespots -- will grow exponentially. Seeing the product (Campus Manager, it's called) got me excited in a way I haven't felt here at the school for a while. In the midst of upgrades and transitions on every side, it was nice to see a product that I could instantly see and understand how it would work in our network, see the benefits of, and know that only Eileen and I would even know it was there so there wouldn't be massive training issues.

I've missed that feeling of excitement. I think I need to do something to inspire it anew around here. Or, failing that, I might need to look for something else that might inspire that kind of fire. I like the feeling of movement, of motion, of discovery and use. I want to see it continue.
