I'm visiting my parents tonight. It's raining, hard enough (and I'm tired enough) that I elected to stay over. I'll get up in the morning and drive like the wind.

My parents bought me a digital scale several years ago. It's high quality... and it's never worked for me. Never. I was too heavy for it the day they got it, and I only got bigger for a long time.

Tonight, we tried it out once more. And I learned that I have lost 147.5 lbs since the surgery. Or, roughly, my mother.

I get to take it home with me tomorrow. I'm thin enough to actually use it, now

That doesn't suck. Not even a little bit.

Wait... is that one english standard mother, or one metric mother?

That would probably be a standard American B.E.S. "mother". The proper metric unit, as all you UK readers can testify, is the "mum".

Alas, I don't know the correct mother -> mum conversion rate, else I'd report it here.
