It occurs to me that a number of Superguy alumni read this. And a number of them are roleplayers.

It occurs to me that the creator of Truth & Justice also reads this. As do the artists. Including, I would add, one Superguy alumnus.

It further occurs to me that Truth & Justice is one of the few RPGs I've seen that could accurately model the chaotic insanity that is Superguy pretty much out of the box.

We could put together a Superguy supplement. Perhaps leaving out the characters we don't directly own (including, say, Wonder Grunion), but still.

Between this fact, and the simplicity of POD/e-publishing (whether through one of the e-publishing outlets or not), is there a good reason not to do this?

No good reason that I can think of.

Let's do it! Let's fall in lo... er, let's do this Superguy supplement!

Okay. So that right there's ALU, the ALUA, CalForce, and Radian and Shadebeam.

So... what, 27% of the first six years of Superguy?

I've heard you talking about this before and couldn't figure out what it was all about, frankly. So I turned to the mighty power of Google, and am now enlightened. Looks like y'all had a crapload of fun with this.

Oh, and hooray for synchronicity (http://www.eyrie.org/superguy/altiverse/heroes/slb-frink.html). :)

http://www.websnark.com/archives/2005/08/of_course_city.html has my review of it, Wistling. It's a Role Playing Game.

If someone could pony up the funds for me to get a copy of T&J, I'd so be interested in working on such a suplement.

Why not?

It would force me to break my personal vow to never EVER buy a .pdf only game. You bastard...

I would definitely be interested in contributing some of my characters from the Mr. Morbid series.

They'd probably make for boring super-hero characters though. Most of them were one step up from normal people. But what the hell... :)

But that makes them perfect for a Superguy RPG supplement.

Remember, one of the greatest Superguy characters of all time was DEATH KNIGHT 2000, whose power was summoning flowers.

Heeee & wooooot. I'm cheering you on.

I'm out, though. Too many things to do, and, well, you know, I would kinda rather the things I wrote for SG get and stay buried.

Which is EXACTLY why I want it all burnt, stomped on, smashed into tiny little bits, and buried forever.

Can't even listen to that stuff now, I have to leave the room. Lobotomies can do wonders for a person.

The weird thing was, I was never much of a fan to begin with. But some friends of mine, back at the beginning of last year, got tickets to the current Dennis DeYoungless incarnation of Styx. And I went along with.

They're... you know. Styx. So take it for what it's worth. But the concert kicked many kinds of Ass. I channeled my inner Carl all through it.

Y'see, for me, I might admit that technically they're still talented & all...

But I went through all of high school and much of college being Way Too Into the Whole Thing. A Styx shirt for every day of the week, etc... ad nauseum.

Basically, I listened to them so much for so many years their music makes me shudder now. I am not exaggerating. I tried to get through "The Grand Illusion" a few years back. I really tried, just to see.

I don't know what to compare the whole experience to. If someone offered me a ticket to a current show, I probably would not go. It's too much the 16-year-old of my past.

But, go you! There are worse things to be into. :)

I'm not saying I'm into them. I'm saying they put on a good concert. That's all. ;)

Though you do feel like Carl at the show.

And I see from the Websnark article that [livejournal.com profile] kobold is already involved with T&J, so it'd presumably be simplicity itself to get him to authorize the appearance of Betty Yeh and her supporting cast. ("Because Buddha loves you, and I have a gun.")

You'd think that if the real Betty didn't mind being in Superguy back then, she probably wouldn't mind being gamer material now. I'm sure Skinnybutt would be perfect too.

I'm not going to assume Betty's inclusion, but we'd naturally welcome her. And the rest of the gang, for that matter.

But it's never a good idea to up and assume someone will want to participate until they tell you they want to participate. ;)
