Leon Redbone's playing Northampton, Mass in January!

...why do I have the feeling no one reading these words knows who that is....

It would be wrong to ask him to perform something by R. Crumb and the Cheap Suit Serenaders, wouldn't it?

Hardly -- but you know he'll just say he wrote it.

I'm personally convinced he's either Coyote or a Timelord.

At least one person does, and is envious of your chance to see the man perform.

It seems unlikely to me.

I think Andy Kaufman is still an outside chance, though.

Friend of the family really loves him. She'd probably be very jealous.

I *adore* Leon Redbone!

Now I'm totally depressed over how much money I won't have after the holiday shopping is done. Damn all those nieces and nephews for having been born into our family!

Leon Redbone is my mental image of God.

Of course, you're tormenting me with this news, Sir.

Not only do I know who Redbone is, but I'm jealous too. He's playing way too far away from me to go see him.

I have a copy of his album "Double Time" on vinyl... and no way to play it. I need to find a way around that.

I hear he never lets anyone see him walk (or, to put it another way, he never lets anyone see that he can't). Take some night-vision goggles with you so you can see if he just teleports onto the stage while the house lights are off.
