These are the twits I twitted.

  • 11:30 RE: Palin. Now things get interesting. #
  • 13:07 Hrm. While I suspect the Monegan investigation won't indict Palin, why would they tap a VP currently under investigation for corruption? #
  • 13:13 And time to unfounded rumors that Sarah Palin is related to Michael Palin... six... five... four... three... #
  • 13:28 Man, I'm worn out. #
  • 13:31 Hrm. I guess the reason Palin rankles me is the sense the RNC thinks Clinton got millions of votes purely from a XX chromosome pair. #
  • 13:58 Weds and I totally need to go pester the Northhampton folks sometime. #
  • 16:45 Home within 45 minutes, trip to Wal-Mart for things. Back home. Collapse. Play games or watch television. Be with Weds. This is marriage. #

The real question is, why choose a Republican from the state that is famous for having a clueless and corrupt senator? If Ted Stevens was a Democrat, I'd understand, but this just draws attention to everything the Republicans have done wrong in the last few decades. Really, he should have chosen Mike Huckabee. He's so lovable! Dumb as a brick and dangerously behind in current events, but lovable.

I think it's to counter the novelty of Barack Obama being African-American, and to show to the mostly pro-life conservative crowd that he's on their side, when he's not really not. Yes, really.

No one will ever give that first part of the reason, but I think there is something to that.
