We're still apparently pissed off about the whole Pixel Stained Technopeasant thing. On my side, I put the first two parts of a short Superguy novel I've written up, with the rest to follow over the next several days.

Part One is linked to here, and Part Two is here.

It really scares me that I'm still occasionally writing complete novels for this fucking thing. On the other hand, I have a nice bit with a dog in this one.

So I'm reading the second part and suddenly something starts to bug me. The fact that the writing collective/list-serv is named after an actual character, a parody on the unlimited power level Silver Age Superman. I mean, I know that basically he's just there for the occasional joke and is otherwise ignored when writing. Because if you don't you end up with The Sentry on the Avengers where you're constantlly having to explain why he doesn't just solve things while everyone else plays cards. The whole the JLA is around to throw kryptonite into the sun for Superman...

I know all that. And still. Reading Less talk about the overthrow of the U.S. government and I'm still thinking "couldn't Superguy stop all this in like 4 seconds and still take time for a cup of coffee?"

Of course I'm suffering from insomnia, dizziness and what not over the last 24 hours so I could easily be putting to much into this...

Simple answer to that one. Superguy's son is in the Preteen Patrol...and Superguy was busy on his honeymoon offworld during the Genocide War, making said son. :)

Or he could have been spending the year dead. He does that sometimes.

Lady Awe-Inspiring neutralized Superguy as a potential stumbling block to her plans. But he did leave a note wishing the world luck.
