It's been a while since you've gotten a substantial update from me. I apologize for that. I've tried at least to make sure people know I'm alive and okay.

It's been busy. We're coming up on End of Year and I've had a lot of projects taking me late into the day. I've also had medicine issues and doctor's visits and the like. Which makes you naturally assume this is another depressed rant about the hopeless, bleak nature of my life.

HAH! Psych!

Seriously, things are good. Not 'okay.' Not 'surviving.' Things are good. It started with (thank God and all the little Godlets) the breaking of my writer's block. I got a huge chunk of writing done -- a good amount of which has been put on my writer's page. I also wrote my next chapter in the epic horror story Trousers, and look forward to Bill picking up the next entry in the story. If this trend continues -- and it seems to be -- I can expect to get fully back to the literary lifestyle by the second week of June, as we move into the Summer months here.

Even bigger news than my writing, however, is medical. No, I don't have a date for my Surgery or appointments to that effect yet. However, I had an appointment with Doctor Wight (wight meaning Corpse in French, which is a touch frightening) who is my Cardiologist. And. He's scheduling me for a Nuclear Resonance test, which is moderately unpleasant but not too bad. If it looks good... they're going to cut my medicine dosages in half.

In half.

Morning fugues, low blood pressure, nausea, malaise, inability to focus, desperate desire to lie down and stop moving... all will potentially be cut down to vastly more manageable levels soon. Add the surgery to this, and it becomes potentially possible that I could go off the meds entirely in a year or two.

Finally, come Wednesday I wing off west for a Week with my friend Russ, lots of chatting and happy times, and Baycon. I can't wait.

So... in summary... life is pretty damn good this afternoon. Sorry I've been away so much, and sorry I will be again for the next week to week and a half. But it's all good. I swear.

I'm SO happy for you! You deserve all the wonderful things you are getting and many, many more! BTW, where is your writer's page? Feel like posting a link?

I've missed you and I will miss you, but I'm thrilled to hear how fantastically your life is going. IT'S ABOUT TIME!

I won't post a public link, in part because it's password protected so the stuff doesn't show up on search engines and the like. But! I'll e-mail you the info on where to find it and the password to get into it.

You can also drop annotatechapbk into your Friends list, and it'll automagically tell you when stuff gets added to it.

Wooo!

Congrats on breaking the writers block. I will keep my fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else possible crossed and think incredibly happy and perky thoughts that your meds are cut.

Hey, isn't it a kind of proof you're feeling good if you can be so upbeat while listening to "Captain Jack"?
(IMHO)

Yahoooooo!

Good luck too with coming back into the literary life!

Cheers,
Andrea
