Writing western RPG stuff soaks into your skin. You start thinking in terms of the trail, big skies, and showdowns in the middle of the street. You see yourself, a cool hand in a pinch, swaggering into the saloon and calling out a man with your eyes.

Sadly, I know that if I lived in the old West, I'd either be a storekeeper of some hole in the wall General Store or -- more likely -- be passing through the digestive tract of Coyotes.

If you're looking for more music to write Western RPGs by, I'd recommend finding some stuff by the group Riders in the Sky (http://www.ridersinthesky.com) for singing cowboy stuff, or some of Michael Martin Murphy's "Cowboy Songs" albums for the more authentic old-west folktunes.
