Doing very well

Just got off the phone with Eric, and he's sounding great and is doing very well. He said that it could not have possibly gone better. He's feeling very tired and sore right now, but otherwise is in high spirits and feeling very good overall.

Since things are proceeding so well, it's possible that he'll be able to leave the hospital on Saturday, but Sunday is probably more likely.

He does have a direct line in his room, and he said that I could go ahead and post that number here, but please note that he's really tired and please do not call late. The direct line is (603) 650-2402. (Updated -- had the wrong area code initially)

I passed along everyone's thoughts, hugs, and well wishes. *grin*

Not being considerate enough to wait until he is fully rested, I just called Eric. He sounds great. He seemed a little tired and perhaps a bit weak, but it's perfectly understandable. He also had just taken his medication (good Eric). He sounded very cheerful, and I'll admit I was probably just as pleased. He told me he set a record for longest distance walked after surgery (or something like that, I may have missed some of the words, I was busy basking in the sound of his voice). We're all really lucky to know him.
