Yeah. You want to make certain that you get the maximum milage for your webcomic's positive press. And you've gotten some really good writeups. Even some mainstream stuff. And it's hard to put together a decent e-mail to send to an editor considering your work. It sounds all arrogant.

I recognize that fact.

I need you to recognize this fact.

If you add my submissions e-mail address to a mailing list you send press releases, forward press, and otherwise send out positive commentary and the like about your comic through? I will reject your comic.

Period.

I don't care if the press comes from fucking Time Magazine and if you've got a deal to have each comic tattooed on Morgan Webb's taut geek grrl ass and shot for Playboy. I will reject your comic.

Know this to be true.

Well, dammit.
I might have to cancel that photoshoot, then.

I guess that means I should take your email address off the secret mailing list I use to talk about how awesome I am, huh?

(I was going to comment that hell, I'd read User Friendly if it were tattooed on Morgan Webb's ass. And then I remembered that my mental image of Morgan Webb is largely based on everyone else thinking she's hot, and that I actually find her kind of creepy.)

Solidarity. She may've played Japanese import versions of every Final Fantasy game for all I know, but every time I see the woman I just figure she's suffering from plop-a-skinny-girl-in-front-of-geeks-and-tell-em-she-likes-videogames syndrome.

*googles*

Not bad, not heard of her before, but if she's got a webcomic tattoed to her, I'd, um, read it. Definately, that'd be what I'd be doing.

OTOH, this'd be a good way to kill the comic, keep mailing Eric and Weds the good reviews of it...

I don't even know what you're talking about and I'm terrified. Who would DO that?

Ah, people tattoo weird stuff on themselves all the time. </straight face>
