You know, as much as I love the Leather icon, I need a good icon for the Myth series too

Did a Websnark post yesterday, and it went okay. Today, Banter Latte spun back up.

I'm really pretty happy with Prosperina. It felt like about the right note to come back on. Which is good, because at eight thousand words plus, it needs to not suck.

Anyway, that's all. I kind of liked that one.

Now, to get the next Justice Wing out. I can't let myself finish a Superguy thing until I'm actually back on track with the 'official' stuff.

The Prosperina story is beautiful and brilliant, and a perfect re-working of that particular myth. It reminds me, around the colder edges, of Til We Have Faces, which continues to be my favorite myth retelling ever. I also have a certain fondness for stories in that size range; there's something about the 7-15k stories that are too long for proper 'short' stories but too short to be real novellas that hits a certain sweet spot of detail and snappiness.

(And I would have told you that over at Banter Latte, except I'm having login issues at the moment. So I'll just mention it here.)

It was actually great practice with the tablet and Photoshop - I'll be using Photoshop for the first time when I start up my webcomic soon, and there's a lot I don't know about the program yet.
